Lasting Memories of the 2016 Annual Fall Gala – An Enduring Light
“What an amazing evening?”
This acclamation of appreciation was heard often from the over 200 guests who attended the Gala on Thursday, October 20. St. Cyril and Methodius Hall was aglow with lanterns and twinkling lights reminding all present of the enduring light and presence of Sister Margaret Boyle to whom the evening was dedicated.
Guests were treated to amazing raffle and auction items, delicious food, spirited conversations, and an inspiring formal program which featured a video tribute to Sister Margaret, and a testimony from Aranda, a former resident who was mentored by Sister Margaret.
A new video, Mary’s Story, showcasing the services offered at The Dwelling Place, was shown publicly for the first time, touching the hearts of all who attended.
The Gala Committee extends sincere gratitude to all who attended and participated with so much enthusiasm and generosity. Gratitude is also extended to our many friends and donors who were unable to attend yet sent donations and good wishes for a successful evening. With everyone’s support $64,000 was raised to provide safe shelter and supportive services for the women who are current residents and for those who will be seeking shelter in the months ahead.
There was so much love in the gathering hall on Thursday, October 20. What an amazing evening!
