A New Logo Honors Our 40th Year
2017 marks the 40th Anniversary of the founding of The Dwelling Place. Many celebrations are being planned throughout the year to mark this significant milestone of service to homeless women. Our anniversary will also be acknowledged with a new logo that you will see in our communications and will soon be incorporated on the pages of our website. If you happen to drive out of the Lincoln Tunnel or walk by The Dwelling Place in the coming weeks you will see this logo displayed on our building as well. New anniversary banners are coming soon!
Our new logo was created by artist, Father Michael Reyes, OFM, in collaboration with Michael Meyerowitz, a graphic designer assisting us with our anniversary celebrations. The logo expresses the essence of our service: loving hands embracing and lifting the face of a woman, a woman at peace and empowered. She is rising above the trauma of homelessness to welcome a new beginning much like the lotus flower rising towards the light to bloom with beauty and radiance.
Thank you for your generous support with volunteer hours and financial donations. Your time, care, and gifts have raised up many women and opened the way to a new beginning.
