Three Ways to Help on Giving Tuesday

This week The Dwelling Place will participate in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity and generosity in response to the unprecedented needs caused by COVID-19. Please mark your calendar for May 5th to help share the word about this occasion, and read on for three ways that you can help The Dwelling Place.

The Dwelling Place’s doors remain open, and we have continued serving our residents. Our priorities include: keeping our current residents safe, fortified and uplifted; providing weekly at-the-door take-out dinners and care kits to our Wednesday night guests; caring for our staff and their safety; and looking forward to the day when we can welcome in new residents.

Here are three different ways that you can help us continue this important work:

  1. If you are in a position to give, please consider making a donation of any amount to support The Dwelling Place of NY. Every gift makes a difference and is deeply appreciated.
  2. Start a fundraiser on Facebook. Simply visit our Facebook page and click ‘Fundraise’ then set up your page in moments. Be sure to use the hashtag #GivingTuesdayNow. There are no processing fees on the funds you raise, and it is an easy way to tell friends about our work and plight of women experiencing homelessness.
  3. Raise awareness about The Dwelling Place of NY and the women we serve. Learn more about homelessness in our City – the numbers and causes. Consider forwarding a link to our site to five friends.

Most of all, please take good care of yourself and your loved ones. Please let us know if you have any prayer requests, as we want to support you, too. We are so grateful to have you in our Dwelling Place community. Together, we will come through this – more connected and with more joy and love for the simple beauties of life.

Thank you for all that you do!!
